Customs Documentation
Canada and US Customs require all shipments to be pre-cleared prior to departure. Send all required customs documents as soon as possible to:

CSA is your worry-free trucking partner for shipping commercial goods between the USA and Canada—from a single pallet to a full truckload. Follow this guide to get started shipping cross-border today!
At CSA we normally price shipments by the pallet, which means you will receive a single price for a standard skid regardless of what you ship (usually for weights up to 1650 lbs). This easy to understand skid pricing method simplifies the process and allows for easier cost control when compared to the class and per hundred weight pricing system (although we can provide rates in this method as well).

Some shipments will require additional customs documentation. If you are unsure of additional requirements, please consult with your customs broker.
Note: NAFTA documents are not required at time of border clearance. Their main purpose is to minimize the amount of duties and taxes paid on a shipment and can be submitted up to 90 days after a shipment has cleared customs.
Please submit all required documents to CSA's customs department promptly to avoid any delays in transit.
If you do not have a Customs Broker in place, our staff will gladly put you in touch with one of our trusted brokerage partners.
Step 5: Ensure that both your carrier and your customs broker have a copy of all necessary customs documents.
Email: customs (at) shipcsa.com or
Fax:(416) 292-5217
CSA will then work to setup border clearances (in coordination with your customs broker) using either Canada customs's ACI system or US Customs' ACE system depending on whether you are shipping Northbound to Canada or Southbound to the USA.
If there are any special instructions ensure that they are clearly communicated in writing to both CSA and the customs broker. Please send a copy to CSA's customs department to ensure the set is complete and all necessary paperwork is in place.
Once accepted, there is no guarantee that the shipment will clear at the border as both Canada and US Customs reserve the right to refuse any shipment regardless of entry status.
The Client Portal is setup for CSA account holders and provides shipment details and document downloads for shipments billed to your company only. Bills of lading, proof of deliveries, and invoices are all available with the client portal. We also provide email notifications that will alert you when your shipment has picked up and once it has been delivered.
At the top of each page you'll see a Quick Shipment Status Tool. This option is optimal for those without a CSA account as no login is required. Use it to view the status of any CSA shipment by entering the corresponding tracking number.
